On 31 January the thirty third meeting of the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism (IPRM) took place in Gali. The discussion was chaired by the United Nations and was conducted in a businesslike, professional manner.
The participants discussed cases of detentions, exchanged information on a missing person and on three recent killings in Abkhazia. They followed up on an explosion that occurred near the Administrative Boundary Line in December.
The sides discussed the necessity of joint efforts in the fight against crime and possible handover of wanted criminals.
The next IPRM meeting in Gali will take place on 29 February.
