On 27 June, the Polish Senate Marshal, Mr Bogdan Borusewicz, accompanied by the Polish Ambassador to Georgia and six other representatives from the Senate, visited the EUMM Field Office in Mtskheta. Mr Borusewicz and his colleagues were welcomed by the Head of Mission, Ambassador Tyszkiewicz and given a briefing about the current challenges facing the Mission and the activities of the Field Office. After meeting Polish monitors from across the Mission, Mr Borusewicz accompanied an EUMM patrol to Odzisi to see for himself the situation at the Administrative Boundary Line. He was interested in the EUMM’s views of the current security situation and fully supportive of the Mission’s efforts to main stability and foster confidence building among the conflict parties.
