The EUMM and the State Security Service of Georgia assess functional cooperation

The European Union Monitoring Mission in Georgia conducted an information sharing meeting with the leadership of the State Security Service of Georgia. The meeting was organised to take stock of the functional cooperation between the EUMM and the State Security Service, based on the Technical Arrangement agreed in 2015. 

The Mission briefed State Security Service representatives about the purpose of EU Missions, as well as the EUMM’s mandate, and general activities. The Head of EUMM,  Erik Høeg expressed satisfaction with the working relationship with the State Security Service in line with the Technical Arrangement, underlining the importance of continued efficient information sharing.
