The new Head of the EU Monitoring Mission, Mr Andrzej Tyszkiewicz, whose appointment was announced by Brussels on 5 July, formally takes up his post today.
He will be in Brussels for several days in a series of introductory meetings and briefings before coming to the Mission in Georgia on Wednesday 27 July. One of his first acts will be to attend the IPRM meeting set for the 28 July in Dvani.
