Yesterday, EUMM Head of Mission Bettina Patricia Boughani hosted European Union Special Representative (EUSR) for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia Magdalena Grono on a patrol along the South Ossetian Administrative Boundary Line (ABL).
The EU delegation visited several areas along the South Ossetian ABL, including Kere, Nikozi, Ergneti and Khurvaleti. Across these locations, EUSR Grono received briefings on the latest security and humanitarian developments on the ground, providing useful updates for upcoming exchanges with the participants in the Geneva International Discussions – which she co-chairs – ahead of the next round scheduled for March 2026.
