49th IPRM meeting takes place in Ergneti

On 21 October 2014 the 49th meeting under the Incident Preventionand Response Mechanism (IPRM) took place in Ergneti, cofacilitatedby Toivo Klaar, the Head of the EU Monitoring Mission inGeorgia (EUMM), and Ambassador Angelo Gnaedinger, the SpecialRepresentative of the Swiss OSCE Chairmanship for the SouthCaucasus.

Participants reviewed the overall security situation along theAdministrative Boundary Line (ABL), including the cases of detainedand missing persons. They welcomed the effective use of the Hotlinein facilitating the information exchange and cooperation between theparties.

Various topics related to the livelihood of local communities, such asmovement of cattle across the ABL, were discussed in a constructiveatmosphere.

The next IPRM meeting will take place on 17 November 2014.
