On 17 December EU Monitoring Mission (EUMM) in Georgia, hosted an information sharing meeting with civil society organisations. The main topics of the meeting were winterisation and gender issues.
EUMM shared its assessment of the readiness for winter among internally displaced persons (IDP) and people living adjacent to Administrative Boundary Lines, and actions taken by Georgian authorities to support those communities. The other topic for discussion was EUMM’s report on implementation of the Georgian National Action Plan on United Nation’s Security Council Resolution 1325 focusing on women’s role in conflict resolution.
The thirteen non-governmental organisations, civil society organisations and associations present welcomed this kind of two-way information exchange on conflict related topics, to be repeated in the future.
