EUMM Observes Two Minutes Silence for the Victims of the Brussels Atrocity

At 15:00 hours on Wednesday 23rd March, Deputy Head of Mission (DHoM) Erik Hoeeg led EUMM staff members in Mission headquarters in Tbilisi in a two-minute observation of silence to express our condolences with the victims of the bombings in Brussels Airport and Maelbeek Metro Station. Staff members in the Field Offices also organised their own ceremonies and joined in commemorating the victims. DHoM spoke of the tragedy and at this time we think of the victims and their families. Everyone acknowledged the views of the European Union which said in its press release that “The European Union mourns the victims of (yesterdays) terrorist attacks in Brussels. It was an attack on our open democratic society.”
