Head of Mission addresses University students in Japan

14 April 2016 Kęstutis Jankauskas, Head of Mission of the EU Monitoring Mission in Georgia (EUMM), presented a lecture to about 50 students of European Politics and International Relations in the International Christian University (ICU) in Japan, at the invitation of Professor Takako Ueda.

The presentation described the background and activities of EUMM, along with the current situation in Georgia. A lively question-and-answer session followed, and afterwards students’ understanding in respect to the activities of the monitoring mission deepened significantly.

Mr. Jankauskas is from Lithuania and is a graduate of Vilnius University. ICU in Japan has an exchange program with Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) in Kaunas, Lithuania.
