On 20 January 2015 the 51st meeting under the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism (IPRM) took place in Ergneti, co-facilitated by Ambassador Kęstutis Jankauskas, the Head of the EU Monitoring Mission in Georgia (EUMM), and Ambassador Angelo Gnaedinger, the Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-office for the South Caucasus.
The participants welcomed the new Head of EUMM and expressed their wish to maintain the constructive dialogue of the IPRM meetings.
After reviewing the security situation along the Administrative Boundary Line (ABL) the co-facilitators commended participants for their frequent use of the Hotline over the recent holiday period, keeping each other informed of relevant events close to the ABL, and for agreeing to continue using it.
The participants also discussed cases of persons who have disappeared and whose fate remains unclear, as well as issues of law enforcement, security and freedom of movement.
The next IPRM meeting will take place on 27 February.
