Maja Serkowska, Poland I have known from the moment I applied for the position of Monitor in EU Monitoring Mission (EUMM) Georgia, that it fits me and I fit it also! I have no doubts that it is one of the best choices of my working professional life thus far. It was a new goal, a new challenge, one worth taking and I did!
I hope that in the future all people in Georgia will be able to live a good life without restrictions, fears or hostilities… that’s why Im here in the Mission

Claudia Bock, Germany I am in Georgia for the second time. In 2016/2017, I worked for EU Monitoring Mission (EUMM) in Mtskheta Field Office and since April 2019, I am happy to work in Gori Field Office. I consider it a privilege to be able to return to Georgia for a second tour of duty, and I am very grateful for having this opportunity. Working with professional international as well as with national colleagues, who all come from different backgrounds (civilian, police, military), is on one hand a personal benefit for me, but constitutes an even bigger benefit for the Mission.
I cannot help but think that the boy with the notebook would be pretty pleased about where I ended up!

After completing studies in political science and an MA in Human Rights, I worked initially in Kosovo for an international NGO specialising in minority rights...
My wish is to keep contributing to the Mission with the knowledge and skills…

Julian Schweighart, Austria, Monitor in Zugdidi Back in 2008, when I first heard in the news about an ongoing conflict in Georgia, the whole scenario seemed to be so far away. I had never visited the South Caucasus before, but now I find myself in Zugdidi at the heart of it. Last October, I joined the Administrative Boundary Line (ABL) Team of Field Office Zugdidi...
